The Birthing of Wind in the Word Worship Center
Wind in the Word Worship Center is a ministry that was birthed from a prayer ministry. The ministry started initially in the Newell Family’s home. Dr. Newell opened her home to the People of God that desired to come and join them in prayer. The first prayer meeting was March 8, 2002 at 7:00 P.M. The house filled with the People of God from different parts of the city and many different churches. As we began to pray the power of God filled the house empowering and setting people free and thus was the birthing of Wind in the Word Outreach Ministry, now known as Wind in the Word Worship Center

The Ministry went from a Prayer Ministry to a Conference, Workshop and Seminar Ministry, then to a Church all along standing fast to the Word of God. The Church came into view one day when the Lord spoke to Dr. Newell and told her that it was time to be more consistent feeding the People of God. That the people needed a refuge of safety and that He was calling Wind in the Word to be that. The Lord told Dr. Newell that she was to Pastor some of the people who were coming time after time to the Conferences and other Ministry functions.

Dr. Newell was already ordained in the Five Fold Ministry through her former Church and was well equipped to do so, however, to actually be Pastor was a big step for her, but not to her family as they still encourage her in all that God would have the Ministry to do. Dr. Newell following the leading of God stepped out of the boat and begin to move under the leading of the Voice of YAHWEH. What Dr. Newell found to be very encouraging was the fact that her husband and three younger children had no problem stepping out of the boat right along with her. Doing what ever they could to assist in helping to build up the Kingdom of God even when times were rough in ministry.

She has five children, Flora, Kent, Kaston and Grace. Her beloved son, Kellen went on to be with the Lord August 19, 2006. She thanks YAHWEH for the time that she was permitted to have him in her live. She thanks God for her children who love the Lord. Family is very important to her. We are a Growing Ministry anticipating and expecting Elohim to move in great ways each and every time we assemble together. Taking each move that we experience back into our homes expecting God’s will in our homes. God’s Kingdom come, God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

As of March of 2006 Wind in the Word had a shifting in the Spirit and moved from under our former covering and proceeded forward under the Covered Charter of World Missions Ministerial Association (WMMA) under the Leadership of Bishop Dr. Veronica Johnson.

Dr. Janet Newell is a Mother in the Spirit to many other sons and daughters in Christ. Wind in the Word Worship Center is also the Covering for Women In Truth a Christian Fellowship founded under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit by Dr. Janet L. Newell. As well as Women Of YHWH God United along with Prophetess Gwen Brooks, Founder Of Healing Streams Ministries Inc.

As the Pastor of WITW Dr. Newell has been equipped with many diplomas by many great Schools in the Body of The Messiah such as The Full Bible Institute of Farrell and Paramount Center of Learning Bible School both of Pennsylvania. She has attended secular college as well as received a diploma in Biblical Studies and an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from NCI Bible College and School of Prophets. She later received her Masters in Christian Counseling, Suma Cum Laude and Bachelors in Church Administration, Magna Cum Laude from NCI Bible College and School of Prophets. She has been blessed with many honors and certificates. She is honored to have these accomplishments and to have received such great honors. She is a published author as well. God has blessed WITW to flow in Television and Radio Ministry in our perspective God ordained season. Even with these accomplishments Dr. Newell recognizes only what you do for The Messiah will last!

Wind in the Word is a ministry of reconciliation, restoration and deliverance intertwined with the love of God. We are a Prophetic, Apostolic Ministry who firmly believes in the Apostolic move of God in each and every service. We are active in the community through the local school as well as Street Ministry. Yearly WITW presents a monetary scholarship to a deserving graduating student for excellence in education. We believe that education is very important. For God’s People are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.

Our goal and purpose is to reach lost souls and bring deliverance to those who are bound, through the Word of YAHWEH and being holy for God is holy. In other words as leaders to lead by example. Extending the love of God to all. We have experienced creative miracles as well as many different moves of God in our services. We thank God for confirming His word with signs and wonders that follows.

The Word Wind in the name of the ministry is an acronym for Walking IN Deliverance in the Word. We believe through the practical teaching and demonstration of the Word of God in our everyday lives that lives will be saved, delivered and set free. We believe that holiness is still a way of life. That we must not be conformed to this world, but we must be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Dr. Newell firmly teaches the People of YAHWEH that we must learn to love what God loves and hate what God hates. We are the Ministry where YAHshua is Messiah all by Himself.

Our Ministry scripture is this: By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child YAHshua. We firmly believe that God is still saving and healing in the Body of The Messiah. The Passion and Strength of Wind in the Word Worship Center is the pure unadulterated Word of Truth being released, transforming and renewing each and every mind that hears and receives it. Also the pure agape love of God being demonstrated to the saved as well as the unsaved.
